DURAHUB BEARING PROTECTOR
The Australian Durahub Bearing Protector is the next generation of bearing protectors for boat trailers, RV's, campers and virtually all types of trailers.
The Durahub Bearing Protector has a patented 'window' on the outside so you can ACTUALLY SEE the grease condition inside your wheel hub.
If water or containments have entered the bearing cavity, the bearing needs to be removed and re-packed.
When a hot wheel hub enters water, a vacuum is created when the grease contacts. The Durahub Bearing Protector has a rubber insert that contracts into the hub relieving pressure to help prevent water ingress.
The Durahub has no grease nipples because the hub needs to be re-packed to remove water and contaminates.
Grease nipples on bearing protectors is a nice piece of marketing however putting good grease into a cavity that contains bad grease is generally not a good idea.
Each unit is pre-tested under water.
